The Fatih Karim Museum was opened on July 19, 1971. Over time, the building was dilapidated and needed repairs. In 2017, compatriots from Bashkortostan turned to  Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council Vasil Shaykhraziev with a request for restoration of the museum. Vasil Shaikhraziev supported the idea. Thus, repair work has  started.

And on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Fatih Karim, on August 28, in a festive atmosphere, the museum opened its doors again. Honorary guests from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan gathered in the person of  Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council Vasil Shaykhraziev, Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Lenara Ivanova, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Alexei Izotov, Deputy of the State Assembly-Kurultay the Republic of Bashkortostan Salavat Harisov, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Member of the State of the Twentieth Assembly-Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan Zaki Alibaev, daughter of Fatih Karim Leyla Karimova.

“Fatih Karim is a poet connecting two republics. Today’s event is a historic event, ”said Nail Gataullin, head of the Bizhbulyak district.

Among the guests  there  were also  chairman of the Union of Writers of Tatarstan, a famous playwright, prose writer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Danil Salikhov, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, People’s Poet of the Republic of Tatarstan Renat Haris, literary scholar, critic, Honored Worker of Culture of Tatarstan Foat Galimullin and others.

Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Lenar Ivanov called Fatih Karim a model of courage and patriotism.

“I know little about him, however, the younger generation must inherit the works  by  the great poet. By the 120th anniversary of Fatih Karim, his poems will be translated into the Bashkir language, ”said Lenara Ivanova.

Chairman of the National Council Vasil Shaykhraziev began his speech with the poem by Fatih Karim “Oath”.

“Today, our participation in this ceremony is a great event. To the 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan this year, a monument to Tukay was unveiled here. For us it is a great joy. We express our gratitude to the leadership of the republic. The reconstruction of the museum is a gift from Tatarstan. We tried very hard. Many thanks to the leaders and everyone who took part in the reconstruction, ”said Vasil Shaykhraziev.

At the end of the ceremony, awards and letters of thanks were presented to those who contributed to the improvement of the F. Karim Museum the WCT medals «For great services to the Tatar people», the daughter of F. Karim Leyla Karimova and  head of the Bizhbulyak district Nail Gataullin have been  awarded. A letter of appreciation from the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan  was also handed to fellow countryman F. Karim, a well-known journalist, Rimzil Valiev.

After the grand opening, the guests got acquainted with the museum. Now it is equipped with modern equipment. For the opening day from Kazan for one day from the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan they brought a greatcoat pierced by bullets and tarpaulin boots from Kazan, in which the poet was at the time of his death.
