Today, on December 16th, the presentation of the book by Z.A. Tychinskikh took place in the conference hall of the World Congress of the Tatars. The book is titled “Murzy Kulmametyevs. Materials and sources. Book 1. Faith. Defence. Honour. (XVII-XVIII cc.). – Tyumen, 2024”.
The event was attended by scientists, descendants of Tatar murzas and princes, journalists and representatives of the Tatar public. Among them were Academician R.R. Salikhov, Director of the Sh.Marjani Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the RT, Dr D.M. Iskhakov, editor of the publication, Dr Z.A. Tychinskikh, author of the monograph, and others.
The guests were welcomed by Danis Fanisovich Shakirov, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, First Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars – Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars. He spoke about the formation of scientific views on the history of the Tatar population of the Russian regions. Danis Fanisovich also noted the fruitful work in this direction on the part of the Tatar community of the Tyumen region, especially Tobolsk.
Next, the floor was given to Academician R.R. Salikhov, Director of the Sh. Marjani Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, who dwelt on the work done by this Institute in co-operation with the Tobolsk Integrated Research Station of Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and noted the works published.
Z.A. Tychinskikh, author of the monograph, spoke about the history and culture of the Siberian Tatars and what motivated her to write the monograph.
At the round table, the participants discussed new works by scholars and the problems of studying the history of noble Tatars since the Middle Ages.
