In Azerbaijan, the information-multicultural portal «inCity.az» (www.incity.az), covering, including events in the life of Tatars and Tatarstan, telling about the culture, traditions and peculiarities of the Tatar people has opened.

The main purpose of the website – the strengthening of friendship, cooperation and cultural, social and scientific relations between different peoples, which fully corresponds to the policy of multiculturalism and tolerance pursued in Azerbaijan.

The site «inCity.az» regularly publishes news about the events taking place in Tatarstan in the field of culture, science and education, innovation, tourism, sports, creativity. Great interest among a wider audience of readers cause programs that highlight the Tatars, for example, a report about the event in honor of the birthday of M. Jalil, as well as information on the national characteristics of the Tatar people, for example, an article on traditional delicacy Chak-Chak.

The portal «inCity.az» contains reports in which Kazan residents talk about their impressions of a walk through the Old Town (Icheri Sheher) in Baku. It is worth noting that the “outside view” of the city of Baku was very interesting among

the Azerbaijanis, who shared their positive comments on this article.

In another reportage, an interlocutor of portal’s journalists – the seller of souvenir shop, shared out his impressions of tourists from Tatarstan, told about their positive and generosity. According to him, a special demand among the guests from Kazan are pictures painted with oil, probably because of Tatarstan, as well as Azerbaijan is rich in oil. There was a case a few years ago in Baku, the game between FC “Neftchi” and “Rubin ” took place, before the game, fans of Kazan team snapped up all the caps and throughout the game supported at the stadium, wearing these caps.

In the near future portal «inCity.az» plans to cover information and life of the Crimean Tatars, their traditions and cultural heritage.
