For the first time in 15 years, the republican interuniversity beauty and talent competition among female students “Yaz guzale-2024” (“Miss Spring-2024”) has reached the federal level.

The educational and entertainment project “Yaz guzale” was first organized at Kazan State Energy University in 2009 as an intramural one, but quickly expanded its scope and received the status of a republican one.

It is aimed at fostering a respectful attitude of young people towards the culture and traditions of the Tatar people, at preserving and popularizing the Tatar language among the younger generation, as well as at forming an active lifestyle, patriotism, and positive life values among the current generation.

– We talk a lot about native languages, about preserving traditions and history. But just talking about it is not enough. There’s a lot to do. By holding this competition, we develop our youth’s interest in the Tatar language and national culture,” said Edward Abdullazyanov, Rector of KSEU.

“Yaz guzale-2024” includes correspondence selection, live stage and final. Among the participants are students from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Astrakhan, Perm, Ufa, Samara, Moscow, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod and Saransk.

The final of the competition will be held on March 21, 2024 at the Pyramid Cultural and Entertainment Complex (Kazan).
