Today Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic Ildar Khalikov on World Car-Free-Day have supported this action. RT President came to work on the bike and head of Tatarstan Government came on foot.

World Car-Free Day is held annually since 1973, promotes the idea of walking and cycling modes of transportation, use of public transport, as well as community development with walking distance of places of work and leisure. All motorists are invited for a day to give up the use of fuel-consuming vehicles.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, having come to the House of the RT Government on a bicycle, admitted that he often goes to work in such a way – not only in relation to this action. “It’s very good for your health, I recommend to all” – Rustam Minnikhanov said.

The intention to support the World Car-Free Day, on the day before said heads of some other ministries and departments. Thus, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov planning to come to work today on the bike.
