In a village of Tatar Kargala of the Sakmara region, Orenburg oblast, on June 7, VI All-Russian village Sabantui – the most famous national holiday of Tatars and Bashkirs worldwide to be held.
On the proposal by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Governor of Orenburg Region Yury Berg, it has been decided to hold a nationwide holiday in our region.
The visitors from 14 regions of the Russian Federation: Astrakhan, Volgograd, Kirov, Kurgan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Ulyanovsk and Chelyabinsk regions and the Republic of Bashkortostan, Mari El, Mordovia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Perm Territory, as well as compatriots from the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Kazakhstan are due to take part.
During the Sabantui, the Orenburgers and guests will be able to get acquainted with the national culture, customs of Tatars and Bashkirs. The holiday program in the Orenburg oblast is rich and interesting.
The Sabantui guests will delighted by mastery and performance of the renowned international groups: Orenburg State Academic Russian Folk Choir, the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble named after Faizi Gaskarov (Bashkortostan), Municipal Dance Ensemble “Kazan”, as well as the soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Akhmed Agadi.
The second part of the festival to be performed by the folk groups of the Orenburg oblast. The most spectacular part of the festival, which is looked forward by guests and participants will begin at 12:00 – for two hours on a glade place national sports games to take place. Athletes will compete in kuresh, archery, balancing on the rocker beam and to participate in other contests. At the same time on a separate site races will be held.
Throughout the holiday, a playground will work with the national pastries and tea. On improvisational street “Seyidov Posad” one has a possibility to see Russian, Mordovian, Bashkir, Chuvash, Cossack farmsteads. During the whole event, a photosalon to be active where everyone will be able to don the national costume and make a souvenir photo.
