On October 28 and 31, the conference hall of the World Congress of the Tatars hosted an in-absentia review of performances to determine the winners and finalists of the Interregional Competition of Theatre Groups “Idel-Yort – 2024”. As a result, 6 finalists and 6 winners – laureates and Grand Prix winners of the competition – were determined.
The competition is held within the framework of the program “Preservation of the National Identity of the Tatar People” and contributes to the preservation of theatrical traditions and the strengthening of interethnic ties. Plays based on the works of world classical and modern literature are accepted for participation in the competition.
Since 1998, the “Idel-Yort” competition has annually brought together theater groups from all over the Republic of Tatarstan and regions of the Russian Federation. The main goal of the competition is to support and develop amateur theater, improve performing skills, and expand creative opportunities for amateur artists and directors.
The Grand Prix-winning performance and the awarding of the winners of the Interregional Competition of Theater Groups “Idel-Yort – 2024” will take place on December 9 at 6:00 PM at the Kamala Theater.
