On 27 August, the World Congress of Tatars convened a meeting with a delegation from Uralsk. This gathering was held in honor of the opening of the exhibition showcasing the results of the International Art-Plenaire “Tukay in Uralsk”. In Kazan, the finest works selected for the exhibition were displayed in the foyer of the Tatar State Academic Theatre named after G. Kamal. The grand opening is scheduled for 27 August, prior to the performance “Tukay came to Kazan”.

Danis Shakirov, Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of such events in strengthening cultural ties between regions and promoting the legacy of the esteemed Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay.

The meeting was also attended by Irek Sharipov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars and Head of the Committee for Work with Branches in the Republic of Tatarstan; Lenara Kuteeva, Head of the Committee for Work with Tatar Public Organizations of Foreign Countries; as well as various artists, museum directors, and other distinguished guests.

During the event, Danis Shakirov presented a letter of thanks from the World Congress of Tatars to Flura Milikeeva, Head of the Tatar Cultural Centre in the West Kazakhstan region. Additionally, he gifted the delegation a poster titled “Shakheslar”.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome they received. This event represented a significant step forward in fostering cultural ties and collaboration among Tatar communities, reinforcing their unity and dedication to preserving their heritage.
