In Samara oblast the XIX Tatar festival of children’s creative collectives ” Tatar children singing” will take place. The event will be held on April 3 at the Palace of Culture on Kirov Square.
Tatar national-cultural associations from its inception in the late 80s paid a great attention to the progressing of children’s art. Gradually, this work took a concentrated character in the form of annual festivals, which have become an integral part of national and cultural life of the Samara oblast. The first time it was held in 1997 at the House of culture “Zarya (Dawn)” in Samara city , and then got a permanent “residence” at the Palace of Culture on Kirov Square.
The popularity of the event is growing. In recent years, it is held in April each year at the Auditorium of the HC and had full houses and children’s creative teams from all towns and areas of compact residence of the Tatar population. Several times on the scene, their skills showed not only urban children,
but young artists from Kamishlinski, Pokhvistnevsky , Shentalinsky, Chelny Vershinskaya, Koshkinsky, Elkhovskoye, Krasnoyarsk and Stavropol regions, which, as a rule, are engaged under schools. Frequent performer on the stage is a popular children’s group under the Tatar national-cultural autonomy of Togliatti “Koyashkay” (“Sun”). There is a tradition to invite popular entertainers for a holiday from the Republic of Tatarstan.
An indispensable participant of the festival became dance and vocal ensembles of Samara municipal school with study of the Tatar language and literature “Yaktylyk” (“Light”). This year, when the country celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, the organizers decided to impart the festival a commemorative color. Celebration, which will be held, as always, with national Tatar flavor, is to begin with a ceremony honoring war veterans and home front workers. Now the work is under way to refine the list of veterans, and how to bring them to the House of culture on Kirov Square. A “highlight of the program” of Festival 2015 will be a big concert of creative collectives of “Yaktylyk” school, including vocal and choreographic compositions dedicated to the heroic feat of the Soviet people in 1941 – 1945. It is also planned arrival of artists from the towns and villages of the region, which this time will be spectators of a great holiday and get a kind of “master class” on this kind of events.
The organizer of the first festivals was the Samara Regional Tatar society “Tugan Tel” (“Mother tongue”). Last times, most of the load and the costs of preparation and holding assumed the Tatar national-cultural autonomy of Samara (Chairman of the Board, Deputy General Director of JSC “VolgoProdMontazh” Rivgat Tuktarovich Khuzin), with the support of other Tatar NGOs. Financial and logistical support was provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Samara region and the State Budget Institution of Samara oblast “House of Friendship of Peoples.”
