From August 1 to 3, the city of Tobolsk in the Tyumen Region will host the 15th Anniversary International Festival of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Siberian Tatars, “Isker-Jyen.” The festival is organized by the Regional Tatar Public Organization “Nasledie” (Heritage) of the Tyumen Region, with the project authored by L.A. Shamsutdinova.

The event is held with the support of the International Union “World Congress of the Tatars,” the Tyumen Regional Duma, and the Municipal Autonomous Institution of Culture “Center of Siberian Tatar Culture” of Tobolsk.

The festival will feature the 16th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “The Historical Fate of Isker” and a gala concert of laureates and guests of the 15th Anniversary International Festival “Isker-Jyen.”

The festival is open to participation by:
– national-cultural autonomies and centers
– public organizations and foundations
– cultural and educational institutions
– enterprises and organizations of folk arts and crafts
– artisans, folklore ensembles, and solo performers
– travel agencies, mass media
– research centers and institutes
– professional and amateur art groups and performers
– government and municipal representatives
– delegates from representative bodies
– school pupils and university students
– and all those interested in the history and culture of the Tatar people.
