In accordance with the Work Plan of the World Congress of the Tatars for 2025, on August 26–28 this year, Kazan will host the “Millat Cziyini” (“National Assembly”) under the motto “Tatarstan – Our Spiritual Homeland” (“Tatarstan – Rukhi Vatanim”).
The “National Assembly” is held between the congresses of the World Congress of the Tatars to address pressing current issues and to determine strategic directions for the development of the Tatar nation in the changing modern context.
In 2025, this event, held with the participation of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov within the framework of the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory, will bring together 1,000 distinguished representatives of the Tatar people from around the world in Kazan — the capital of the Tatar world.
This year, the “National Assembly” will be held in a new format. Within its framework, the following events will take place simultaneously: the VII World Forum of Tatar Women, the IX World Forum of Tatar Youth, and the All-Russian Assembly of Tatar Local Historians.
The three-day program of the event includes: a photo exhibition dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the World Congress of the Tatars; the official opening ceremony; the festival of urban Tatar culture and design “Pechan Bazary” (“Hay Market”); the IX World Forum of Tatar Youth (at B. Rameev IT Park); field trips to the Tetyushi Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan (for the delegates of the VII World Forum of Tatar Women), to the Vysokaya Gora Municipal District (for the participants of the All-Russian Assembly of Tatar Local Historians), and to the Arsk Municipal District (for invited guests); and the concluding plenary session of the “National Assembly” (“Millat Cziyini”) with the participation of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N.
