On April 16, a literary and musical evening dedicated to the work of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai took place in St. Petersburg. The guests of the evening read Tukai’s poems, learned interesting facts about the poet’s life.

The guests of honor of the event were the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region Renat Valiullin, Chairman of the Tatar society “Faida” Airat Mannanov.

As a result of the event, letters of thanks were presented to everyone who took part in the musical evening. The evening ended with the performance of the Tatar anthem song “Tugan Tel”.
