On October 4, the “Tupayak” Tatar Football Tournament took place at the “Triumph Ufa” sports arena in the city of Ufa. The event featured friendly matches among children’s (2014–2015 birth years), women’s, and men’s teams.

All participants and spectators were greeted by Zufar Munirovich Valiakhmetov, Head of the Department for the Implementation of Sports Programs of the World Congress of Tatars, who emphasized the importance and uniqueness of the project for the Tatar community of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

After intense and spirited games, victory went to:

• Children’s division – Tatar Gymnasium No. 84;

• Women’s division – Team “Ansat”;

• Men’s division – Team “Ah, Yegetlär, Yegetlär” (“Oh, Young Men”).

The tournament brought together people from various walks of life — children, entrepreneurs, doctors, teachers, Ufa stage performers, and sports enthusiasts — all united by their love for the game.

A distinctive feature of the event was its linguistic atmosphere: football terminology, team greetings, and on-field communication between players and referees were conducted entirely in the Tatar language.

The main goals of the tournament were to promote the use of native languages in everyday life, set a positive example for the younger generation, and encourage public involvement in sports and physical activity.
