The event is held with the support of the Commission under the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan on the preservation and development of the Tatar language.

This year the competition is held in the following categories: participants under 7 years old, from 8 to 13 years old, from 14 to 17 years old, from 18 years old and older.

Performances will be judged in three categories: prose, poetry and a special category “Tugan Tel”, in which representatives of the Chuvash, Mari, Mordovian and Udmurt peoples can take part. Participants must read expressively the works of classic and modern writers or a piece of poetry written by the participant himself in his native language.
