Vasil Shaihraziev took part in the congress of the peoples of the Ulyanovsk region

Today, on March 13, the Congress of Peoples of the Ulyanovsk Region was held at the site of the Sovremennik cinema complex. Participants of the congress were members of regional and local national-cultural autonomies, a youth activists of national public organizations, representatives of national media, cultural workers who specialize in preserving and developing national traditions, teachers, including native languages. Representatives of the republics of Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Mordovia were invited to the event. Before the congress in the foyer of the second floor worked exhibition and concert venues.
In the work of the Congress on behalf of the World Congress of Tatars, the Chairman of the National Council of the WCT, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev took part.
The event was opened with an opening address by the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov. Also, Sergei Ivanovich approved the plan of events for the “Year of National Unity in the Ulyanovsk Region” for 2019.
Later, the participants of the congress were greeted by Svetlana Smirnova, Chairman of the Council of the All-Russian Public Organization “The Assembly of the Peoples of Russia”, Oleg Nikolayev, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the VII convocation, Vasil Shaikhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Tatar Congress culture, national affairs and archival affairs of the Chuvash Republic Konstantin Yakovlev.
The Congress of Peoples was the final event of the month, timed to coincide with the International Day of the Native Language. During the congress, the results achieved and new tasks for strengthening interethnic and interreligious unity were discussed.
A concert program was organized for the guests: the Mordovian State Song and Dance Ensemble “Umarina” and the Governor’s State Brass Band “Derzhava” performed.
