Today, December 11th, Vasil Shaikhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, had a meeting with Yuri Mironenko, Deputy Governor of Orenburg region.
After the exchange of greetings, Vasil Shaikhraziev informed Yuri Mironenko about the agenda of his visit. He brought to his attention that the previous day had featured a gathering at the Kh. M. Yamashev Library, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony today at the monument to Hero of the Soviet Union, the poet Musa Dzhalil.
One of the primary topics discussed during the meeting pertained to the “Tatar Kyzy” project, whose purpose is the preservation and advancement of native speech, traditions, and culture, through the stimulation of younger people’s interest in historical and cultural inheritance, as well as the enrichment of contestants’ life experiences with novel knowledge and abilities. The title of “Tatar Kyzy-2024” was bestowed upon Alsu Baigildina from Orenburg.
Customarily, the grand finale of the “Tatar Kyzy” competition is set to take place in Orenburg in 2025. The event is scheduled for September 19th. It is anticipated to be a watershed moment for the region and draw widespread attention from both local residents and visitors from other areas. Preparatory activities are currently underway, including the selection of a venue for the competition.
