Vasil Shaikhraziev gave a look-over the Mednaya Mosque in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma

Today, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council Vasil Shaykhraziev, during his working visit to the Sverdlovsk region, visited the mosque of Verkhnyaya Pyshma. The guests were met by Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Sverdlovsk Region, Artur hazrat Mukhutdinov.
The construction of a Mednaya (copper) mosque in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma began in 2001 by Muslims living in the city. The Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company became the main sponsor of the mosque. The grand opening of the Mednaya mosque named after Imam Ismail Al-Bukhari was held on July 19, 2002.
There is a Sunday school at the mosque for everyone, who wants to familiarize themselves with the basics of Islam according to the maktab programs approved by the Moscow muftiat. In summer, there is a children’s day educational camp with excursions, sports and outdoor games. Charitable work is being done in relation to the needy, orphans, travelers, to prisoners who turned to the cities of the region for help, etc.
Mufti told about the life of Muslims in the Sverdlovsk region, conducted a tour of the mosque. In the Muslim temple religious books in the Tatar language are sold, along with the lessons of Islam, the Tatar language is also taught. In total, over 6 thousand Tatars live in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, the total number living in the city is about 70 thousand.
