Vasil Shaikhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, is currently on a working visit to the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Today, October 12, a large-scale cultural event took place in the city of Donetsk. The meeting with the Tatars of the DPR and the concert of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of Tatarstan “Agidel” brought together compatriots from seven cities across the republic.

The meeting was opened with welcoming remarks by Rashit Khazrat Bragin, Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the DPR and Head of the Donetsk Tatar National-Cultural Autonomy.

Vasil Shaikhraziev spoke about the purpose of his visit, after which he gave the floor to Mansur Khazrat Djalaletdin, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan, who arrived in the region with humanitarian aid.

Following a prayer, Shaikhraziev emphasized that the World Congress of the Tatars has always stood by the Tatars of Donbass. He recalled that the first meetings with the Congress delegation gathered only a few people, while today such large-scale events fill big halls.

He also announced that, as a gift, the audience would enjoy a performance by the renowned State Song and Dance Ensemble “Agidel.”

In his speech, Vasil Shaikhraziev expressed confidence that the International Miners’ Sabantuy Festival, first held five years ago in Kuzbass, will one day be celebrated in Donbass, once peace is restored.

The event continued with a vibrant concert by the “Agidel” Ensemble, which became a true celebration of friendship, culture, and unity.
