Today,  Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaikhraziev made a working visit to the city of Novocheboksarsk of the Chuvash Republic. Here he met with  head of the Novocheboksarsk city administration, Olga Cheprasova.

 

Vasil Shaikhraziev noted that Tatarstan and Chuvashia have friendly relations. He expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Chuvash Republic for the last year at a very high level Federal Sabantuy in Cheboksary. The cities of Chuvashia are distinguished by their cleanliness, livability and are an example of bilingualism (bulletin boards, signs), said Vasil Shaikhraziev.

 

According to Olga Cheprasova, representatives of different nationalities live in peace and harmony in the city. She noted the active work of Tatar public organizations. They hold Sabantui and other events. Also, Olga Cheprasova told that next year the Republican Sabantuy will be held in Novocheboksarsk. In 2020, the city will celebrate the 60th anniversary.

 

Speaking with a welcoming speech, M. Razyapov thanked the city authorities for their comprehensive assistance and support. He noted that during the construction of a mosque in Novocheboksarsk, assistance was provided by representatives of different nationalities.

 

Vasil Shaikhraziev stressed that mosques should serve the people.

 

For hundreds of years we have been living together and helping each other. Muslims assist in the construction of churches, Christians – in the construction of mosques, – said Vasil Shaikhraziev.

Mansur hazrat noted that the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Chuvashia was formed on May 18, 2004. If before that there were only 2 mosques in Chuvashia, today there are 42 mosques in operation. He thanked the government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the World Tatar Congress for the material assistance provided.

 

Then Vasil Shaikhraziyev visited the Novocheboksarsky Cathedral Mosque, where he got acquainted with the conditions and activities of the mosque created for Muslims. Then he took part in the Iftar, organized here for Muslims.
