Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, Vasil Shaykhraziev, has arrived on a working visit to the city of Rubizhne in the Lugansk People’s Republic. There, he met with the city’s head, Yevgeny Shatalin.

The Republic of Tatarstan is contributing to the improvement and restoration of Rubizhne. Residential buildings, infrastructure, and social facilities have been renovated. Starting September 1, a school reconstructed with the support of Tatarstan will reopen its doors to students.

Once home to 50,000 residents, the city saw many people leave — but now, residents are beginning to return. City head Yevgeny Shatalin expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Tatarstan for their support.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Fanil Agliullin.
