Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaikhraziev and Head of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov met with the Tatars of Australia

Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaikhraziev and Head of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov met with the Tatars of Australia. Guests from the sunny continent these days are visiting us in the republic. The main purpose of their visit is to participate in the events of the World Cup. At the same time, this desire to plunge into the atmosphere of the historical homeland.

Meeting with the Tatars of Australia was held in the national cultural center “Kazan” in the informal environment at the tea table. Guests shared their impressions of what they had  seen  in the capital, the special atmosphere that prevails during the Championship, the life of the Tatars in Australia, the preservation of the nation, the mother tongue, the upbringing of children, etc.

You drove thousands of miles, came to Tatarstan, to the historical homeland of the Tatars. This contributed to a great event – the World Cup. Sometimes sports like that help us get together. However, we also try to meet and communicate. A month ago we began to prepare for a trip to Australia. However, in connection with the one after the other events-Uraza, Championship, Sabantuy – the trip had to be postponed so far. However, you decided “If we are not for you, then – you are for us” – gathered and came. Which we are very pleased  by. We Tatars live in different parts of the Globe. But despite this we are friendly, we are one. Our happiness is that we are Tatars. We are united by our language, religion, traditions, national clothes, national treats. The World Congress of Tatars also makes its contribution to the uniting  the Tatars of the whole world. And in the future we will continue this work, “Vasil Shaykhraziyev said at the meeting and expressed hope that he will soon be able to visit Australia himself.

After the meeting, guests from Australia were presented with small gifts from the Congress and organized a sightseeing tour of Kazan.
