An international scientific and practical conference “Tatars of the Republic of Belarus: History and modernity” was held in Minsk.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev welcomed the participants of the conference.

It was attended by about 100 people from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, in particular, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Mari El, Perm Krai, Omsk, Orenburg, Penza, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod regions.

The scientific conference emphasized the importance of studying archaeological, epigraphic, architectural and historical-cultural monuments, preservation and development of Tatar villages.
