The Director of the Kazan Higher Muslim Madrasah, named after the 1000th anniversary of the adoption of Islam, Ilyas Ziganshin, who is also the imam-hatib of the Al Mosque, is celebrating his 60th birthday.

During his visit, he also met with madrasah students and familiarized himself with the institution’s activities.
- Ilyas Iskhakovich Ziganshin has been the head of the Kazan Higher Muslim Madrasah ”1000 years of adoption of Islam” since 1996.
The madrasah is dedicated to training imams for rural parishes. A significant achievement of Ilyas Hazrat is that the institution not only develops expertise in the Quran and hadith but also instills practical skills in its students. The curriculum includes carpentry, craftsmanship, farming, animal care, and the effective use of internet technologies and printing. Upon graduation, students receive diplomas as beekeepers.
Ilyas Hazrat Ziganshin personally ensures that graduates of the madrasah fulfill their military obligations, provided there are no health contraindications. He actively encourages them to pursue higher secular education. Graduates who do not become imams or teachers often find careers as programmers, educators, entrepreneurs, and in various other fields.
