Tatarstan people are involved in sending humanitarian aid to Turkey.

On March 11, a cargo of humanitarian aid was sent from Kazan airport to the Turkish province of Adana on an Il-76 aircraft. The aid was sent on behalf of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev took part in the delivery of the cargo. He flew to Turkey on a special board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred on February 6 in the province of Kahramanmarash in southeastern Turkey near the border with Syria. According to the latest data, as a result of natural disasters in Turkey, 47 932 people died.
