Vasil Shaykhraziev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars, is on a working visit to the Nizhny Novgorod Region. As part of his visit, he inspected a building intended to become the Nizhny Novgorod Tatar Cultural Center.
The two-story building, located at 14 Alyosha Peshkov Street, has a total area of 525.3 square meters. The decision to transfer the building was preceded by significant preparatory work carried out by the leaders and members of the Autonomy Council. This initiative by RNKATNO was supported by the World Congress of Tatars and the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Tatars.
The building is planned to house a Tatar Cultural Center with a variety of facilities, including: a museum exhibition dedicated to the history and culture of the Tatars of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a library, a dining area offering Tatar national cuisine, spaces for interaction between youth and older generations, a children’s corner, a conference hall, and an auditorium.
In addition, the center will offer regular Tatar language courses, children’s dance workshops, culinary masterclasses, and much more. According to RNKATNO’s vision, this center is intended to become a hub for all Tatars living in the region.
