Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, is on a working visit to the Penza Region. As part of his trip, he inspected the proposed site for the 16th All-Russian Rural Sabantuy, which is scheduled to take place in the region in 2026. The celebration is planned to be held in the village of Maly Truyevo in the Kuznetsk District.
The Penza Region already has experience in organizing large-scale national events. In 2017, the All-Russian Sabantuy was successfully held in the village of Srednyaya Yelyuzan — the largest Tatar village in Europe. On that day, more than 30,000 guests from 35 regions of Russia gathered to take part in the vibrant and crowded celebration.
After inspecting the site for the Sabantuy, the Chairman of the National Council also reviewed the construction of the Cathedral Mosque in the village of Maly Truyevo. This facility is set to become an important spiritual center not only for the village residents but also for all Tatars in the region. During the visit, discussions were held regarding the construction progress, timelines for completion, and the involvement of local residents in the process.
