Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, arrived in Sochi on a working visit. As part of his trip, he laid a wreath of flowers at the Eternal Flame memorial in the Zavokzalny district, on behalf of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.

The Zavokzalny Memorial Complex is a monument dedicated to the residents of Sochi who perished during the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945). It is located in the Zavokzalny microdistrict, in the central part of Sochi.

On February 23, 2025, a new Alley of Heroes was inaugurated at the memorial site. Among its tributes is a commemorative plaque honoring Hero of the Russian Federation Almaz Safin. Almaz Minigaleevich served in the 76th Guards Air Assault Division of the Russian Airborne Forces during the Special Military Operation in the Luhansk People’s Republic. He was killed in action, demonstrating true heroism on the battlefield.
