Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars held a meeting with the prominent economist, Doctor of Economics, and Professor Kasim Yusupov.

Kasim Nazifovich Yusupov is a distinguished figure in the scientific and educational life of the country. He is an Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (2006), the Republic of Tatarstan (2007), and the Bashkir ASSR (1985), as well as an Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of Russia (2008). This year marks his 90th birthday — a milestone worthy of special attention and recognition.

During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for the Millet Zhieny of the World Congress of the Tatars, which will take place on August 26–28 in Kazan. It is expected that Kasim Nazifovich will take part in this important event.

Another special occasion for the meeting was the recent release of a new book by Kasim Yusupov, published by the Tatar Book Publishing House. Vasil Gayazovich expressed his sincere gratitude to the author for his many years of work and contribution to science and national identity, noting that he would like to personally present the book as a gift. The presentation of this work is planned for the autumn in Kazan. Earlier, the capital of Tatarstan had already hosted presentations of two other books by the scholar, both of which attracted great interest from the academic community and the public.
