On December 4, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, Vasil Shaykhraziev, conducted a meeting with a delegation from the city of Izhevsk.

The meeting was attended by Dmitry Chistyakov, Head of the City of Izhevsk; Farit Gubaev, Chairman of the Izhevsk City Duma; Damir Khaziev, Head of the Udmurt Club of Tatar Entrepreneurs; Mars Tukaev, First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and Head of the Committee for Work with Tatar Public Organizations in the Regions of the Russian Federation; and Farhad Latypov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and Head of the Administration.

The delegation presented a project titled “Development of a compact settlement of Tatars in the city of Izhevsk”. Significant efforts are currently underway in the neighborhood known as “Tatar Bazaar” to create a favorable living environment and promote cultural exchange.

Special attention was also given to preparations for the Federal Sabantuy, which is scheduled to take place in the capital of Udmurtia in 2028. Additionally, the participants discussed the organization of an iftar in Izhevsk in late March 2025.
