On July 17, a meeting took place between Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, Vasil Gabtelgayaevich Shaykhraziev, and the Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Valeryevich Aksyonov. The meeting was also attended by Ruslan Kamilievich Shayakhmetov, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of mutual cooperation and strengthening ties between Tatarstan and Crimea. Topics such as industrial development, cultural exchange, and improving the quality of children’s recreational programs were addressed. Shaykhraziev and Aksyonov also discussed the plan and direction of events dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay and the 120th anniversary of Musa Jalil. They also reviewed a series of tasks related to organizing the Tatar national holiday, Sabantuy.
