Vasil Shaykhraziev visits the “Ikhlas” mosque

Today, October 22, Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, is on a working visit to the Republic of Bashkortostan. He reviewed the improvement works carried out at the “Ikhlas” Mosque in the Kirovsky District of Ufa and familiarized himself with the activities of this religious center.

An abandoned cinema building was reconstructed in 2001 and reopened as the “Ikhlas” Mosque. The first imam of the mosque was the well-known religious figure Mukhammed Hazrat Gallyamov. Today, the imam-khatib of the mosque is Alfred Davletshin, the representative of the World Congress of Tatars in Bashkortostan.

“Ikhlas” is one of the best, most modern, and advanced mosques in Bashkortostan and Russia. Today, the “Ikhlas” complex consists of four buildings located on an area of about one hectare. The “Ikhlas” association has its own publishing house and television studio. The mosque also operates a maktab (religious school) and courses on the basics of Islam, Quran recitation, Arabic literacy, and calligraphy. The mosque houses one of the best Islamic libraries in the region.
