XIII All-Russian Gathering of Entrepreneurs from Tatar Villages: A Dialogue of Culture and Business

From February 26 to 28, 2025, Kazan hosted the XIII All-Russian Gathering of Entrepreneurs from Tatar Villages, bringing together more than 900 participants from 48 Russian regions. Among the guests were representatives of small businesses, farming enterprises, and members of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, including Fakhrutdin Kanyukaev and a delegation of 30 entrepreneurs from the Samara region.

Three Days of Productive Work

The event’s program combined business discussions with cultural immersion. Participants visited farms in the Apastovsky district to assess their economic potential and explored the infrastructure of the regional center, Apastovo. Particularly memorable were excursions to the Alley of Heroes, the local history museum, and the model library, along with meetings with students from the Agricultural College and the “Rukhiyat” madrasah. In the evenings, guests enjoyed performances by creative ensembles at the House of Culture and sampled Tatar cuisine prepared by local producers.

Exhibition and Plenary Sessions

A highlight of the event was the exhibition and fair, featuring halal products, folk crafts, national clothing, and projects supporting participants of the Special Military Operation (SVO). The Head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, toured the exhibition and praised the diversity and quality of the products.

During the plenary session, moderated by Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, delegates discussed the development of farming, social initiatives, and best practices for improving rural areas. Entrepreneurs shared success stories of charitable initiatives and strategies for promoting local projects.

Preserving Traditions as a Foundation for Development

In his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the role of the business community in preserving national identity:

“Our top priority is to preserve our native language, traditions, and religion. No one else will do this for us. You are our support. By creating jobs and sustaining villages, you contribute to the future of Tatarstan. All your proposals will be taken into account.”

The forum concluded with an awards ceremony. Republican prizes were presented for contributions to cultural development, strengthening interethnic dialogue, and supporting spiritual values. The head of the Alkino rural settlement, Idris Khamitovich Mullabayev, received the highest award of the World Congress of Tatars – the Medal “For Great Services to the Tatar People.”

Conclusion

The gathering acted as a bridge between regions, opening new opportunities for cooperation. Participants left not only with valuable business connections but also with lasting impressions of Tatarstan’s hospitality, reaffirming that the unity of tradition and innovation is the key to the prosperity of rural areas.
