August 26, 2016, at 15.00, at the National Art Gallery “Hazine”, the exhibition “Artists of Tatarstan: the image of Syuyumbike – the last queen of Kazan Khanate on the eve of the 500th anniversary of the birth” will open.
“Artists of Tatarstan: the image Syuyumbike – the last queen of Kazan Khanate on the eve of the 500th anniversary of the birth”, devoted to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan from the collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan and the paintings by Tatarstan artists for the first time is a legendary image of Syuyumbike in a single exhibition space is presented. Birthday of Queen is not known, according to some reports, she was born around 1516.
Syuyumbike – daughter of Nogai Khan, Yusuf Bey, great granddaughter of the founder of the Nogai Horde Idegey.
Time of her life in the Kazan khanate – 1535 – 1551 years. The fate of the Queen became a symbol of the golden age of the historical past of the Tatar people. Her image is covered by symbols, legends, myths and legends, it is linked to representation of the true beauty of the Tatar woman, motherhood and love of the country.
Image of Syuyumbike – a topic that is at a time like tsarist Russia, as well as in Soviet times, was closely intertwined with ideology.
