April 29, 2017, Tatar State Philharmonic after G.Tukai will host a gala concert of laureates of the international festival of Bashkir and Tatar song “Idel”.
We remind that the festival is held annually in Ufa for six years. Young professional artists who perform folk, pop or academic songs in Tatar or Bashkir languages take part in the competition.
Last year the first national gala concert of the winners “Idel” took place in Kazan. The concert was attended by outstanding laureates of the festival for all five years. The event was attended by representatives of Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, headed by Minister A.M. Sibagatullin and representatives of the World Congress of Tatars. The program of the concert was very rich and varied, so the audience could see both the performance of the ethno-collectives, and the incendiary show of the rock band and hear long folk song under the folk instrument. The event ended with the collective performance of the anthem of the Idel festival. It is significant that each of the parties sang part of the work in their own language, and completed its artists in chorus accompanied by a storm of applause from the audience.
This year the Kazan public will be represented by the Bashkir and Tatarstan laureates of 2016, as well as the guests of honor – People’s Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan Zilya Sunagatullina and Aigul Sagynbaeva. Also, by tradition, they will be joined by the winners of previous years: these are the winners of 2014 Nurzia Sabitovs and Irzhan, the winner of 2015 Rafis Sirusin. Among the artists, two laureates of “Idel” come from China! Also among the artists Aigul Akhmetshina, adopted last year at the Royal Royal Opera House Covent Garden!
The international festival-competition of the Bashkir and Tatar song “Idel” was organized in the year 2011 announced the Year of Strengthening of Interethnic Accord. The project is supported by Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Press and Mass Media Agency of the Republic of Bashkortostan, World Congress of Tatars, Ufa City Administration. The main goal of the festival is development of professional art and cultural cooperation between the two fraternal peoples. Every year the organizing committee invites more and more contestants performing songs in Bashkir and Tatar languages not only from Russian regions (Moscow, Tatarstan, Chelyabinsk region, Omsk region, etc.), but also from other countries such as Latvia, China, Turkey, Finland and others.
