Residents of St. Petersburg celebrated Constitution Day of the Republic of Tatarstan

On November 7 and 8, with the support of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, events dedicated to the Day of National Unity and the Constitution Day of the Republic of Tatarstan took place in the Library-Branch No. 1 of the Kalininsky District of St. Petersburg.

The festival of national cultures has been held in the Centralized Library System of the Kalinin District since 2010.

The idea of ​​the festival is to get acquainted with the history, traditions, life and art of the peoples living in St. Petersburg.

On November 7, guests of the event were able to listen to a lecture on the topic “Your language is my friend”, which was conducted by the philologist, translator, and  chairman of the Ak-kalfak-Neva public organization Firaia Rashitova.

On November 8, the opening of the exhibition of paintings by Tatar artist Rashid Muratov, “The Charm of Seen”, took place. The exposition of the artist’s paintings is complemented by the installation of household items and clothing of the Tatars, hats, jewelry “From the grandmother’s chest to the present day” from the cycle “Tatars halyk kiynyaryare”.

The organizers of the exhibition are participants of the women’s public movement “Ak Kalfak-Neva” Sania Bakhtiyarova, Farida Grenda, Firai Rashitova.

The program was continued by a bright and incendiary concert of the Akcharlak ensemble, under the direction of Svetlana Zigangirova. At the end of the event, a master class on painting plates “Tales of the Tatars” from Ildus Vakhitov was held.
