December 13, 2019

The event took place during the week of the national project “Culture” in the region on December 11 at the Governor’s Palace of Peoples’ Friendship.

It is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of a native of Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk Territory, People’s Artist of the USSR, writer and translator Gabdulla Shamukov. The event was organized at the expense of a grant from the Ministry of Art and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk Region as part of the Year of the Theater, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

With the help of a grant from the Ministry, a book “I and About Me” was published. It contains translations of fables, poems and short stories, memoirs of colleagues and famous personalities who were familiar with the actor. Head of the department, Evgenia Sidorova, awarded amateur theater groups of municipalities for their active participation in events dedicated to the Theater Year. Five Tatar collectives received gift certificates for  acquisition of props.

After the awarding ceremony, in which Governor Sergey Morozov took part, the audience saw the production of the Tatar Academic Theater from Kazan “Four Grooms of Dilyafruz”.
