Urmai village claims to be the center of the Tatar culture of the Chuvash Republic

The project of the NCAT of the Chuvash Republic on the theme: “The revival of the cultural and historical heritage of the Tatars-Mishars through the creation of the ethnocultural center Miras as an instrument for the development of the village of Urmaevo” is aimed at reviving the cultural and historical heritage of the Tatars Mishars through the creation of the ethnocultural center Miras as a tool development of the village of Urmaevo. Urmaevo village is the largest village in the region and quite prosperous, 3200 people live in it. (more than 900 yards), built 2 kindergartens (220 children), 1 secondary school (400pupils ).

 

In 2017, the Urmaevsky Village House of culture was supported by a federal subsidy from the Cinema Fund for equipping cinema halls with modern digital equipment in the Russian Federation with a population of up to 500 thousand people. We often observe how people call in from the A151 highway to watch from a “high” point on the village with its beautiful mosques, houses with elements of national architecture. Such interest can serve as a “ground” for  development of rural tourism in the territory of Moscow Region. Under the project, the Miras ethnocultural center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) will be created on the basis of the Urmayevo Village House of Culture, which will become a new direction and creative space in preserving and developing the cultural heritage of the village, the traditional way of the Tatars-Mishars and the rational use of the cultural and historical potential as . Urmaevo, and the district as a whole. The project provides for:

 

  1. Landscaping with a surface of 100 m2 near the Urmaevsky VHC (improvement of the pedestrian zone, greening the territory, filling with functional thematic art objects, in particular, an art object-monument with the letter “Ц” will be installed, because the Urma Tatars-Mishars have preserved their own dialect of the Tatar language and make up “ a tzoking group of Mishar dialects, the most tzoking people; a “smart” shop with USB charging will be installed. The objects will become a place of attraction for children and youth and emphasize the individuality of the location. Center a, change the space);

 

  1. Conducting on an ongoing basis workshops on: a) tambour embroidery (women’s bibs, aprons, scarves, prayer rugs (namazlyki); b) weaving using geometric motifs; c) traditional technologies of wood carving and decoration of house facades; d) the performance of recruiting songs and dances of the Tatars-Mishars;

 

  1. Conducting the Inter-regional festival of folk art “Caravan miras” (Caravan of Heritage), including various expositions and interactive areas with elements of folklore and immersion of the guest / spectator in the environment of the Tatar-Mishars, direct communication between tourists and local residents bearing Tatar-Mishar culture. The holiday will be held in conjunction with Rural House of culture and broadcast on social networks.
