A concert of the Tatar culture collective “Sandugach” was held in Surgut yesterday under stormy applause.

The exhibition-fair of halal products, oriental sweets, spices, as well as Muslim clothes, jewelry, objects of decorative art opened on Friday at the exhibition center of Volgograd. About 50 organizations from 10 Russian regions, as well as the Tatar diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, are taking part in it,

On the 17th day of the month of Rajab (March 12), the second season of the Yash Kilen (Young Daughters- in - Law) women's project has  started in Kazan. In the evening, the first meeting-acquaintance with the project participants took place at the Galeyevsky mosque. The first meeting brought together about 40 representatives of the beautiful half of the Ummah.

The premiere and charity screening of the film “Zuleikha opens her eyes” with Chulpan Khamatova will be held on March 20.

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region  has  opened the exhibition of St. Petersburg artist Larisa Akhmadeeva "Under the Sky of St. Petersburg."

On March 8, at the constituency of State Duma deputy Valeev Ernest Abdulovich, a big holiday was held - the Peoples' Friendship Festival.

The deputies of the State Council of Tatarstan adopted an appeal to  President of Russia Vladimir Putin, in which they asked to take special control of the legislative regulation of issues related to the preservation of the languages ​​and traditions of the peoples of the country. The decision was made during the eighth meeting of the Parliament of the Republic of VI convocation.

On March 15, the Tatar Culture Festival "Tatar Bistase" will be held in Samara. The festival was organized by the Samara Tatar NCA with support of the Samara regional creative public organization “Duslyk” and the Samara Regional Tatar NCA. The event will take place in the Tatar Bistase microdistrict (Zubchaninovka).

In Chelny, the Tatar Drama Theater will hold musical evenings on March 7 and 8 in honor of  celebrating  International Women's Day. The director of the evenings - the new art director of the theater Oleg Kinzyagulov - called them “Shefek”.

On March 5, at the House of Culture of the village of Kzyl-Yar, Bavlinsky District, in the Tatar National Cultural Center, for the first time in many years, the regional competition "Tatar Kyzy" was held. It was attended by 11 girls aged 15 to 25 years.
