Vasil Shaykhraziyev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, is currently on a working visit to St. Petersburg. As part of his visit, Vasil Shaykhraziyev held a meeting with Oleg Kapitanov, Chairman of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Implementation of Migration Policy of the city.

The meeting was also attended by Ivan Bodak, Head of the CIS Countries and Russian Regions Department of the St. Petersburg Committee for External Relations, and Shamil Shayakhmetov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

The main focus of the meeting was organizing Sabantuy-2025 in St. Petersburg, which is expected to be a major event for the city’s Tatar community. During the discussion, representatives from both sides emphasized the importance of holding the festival at a high level to showcase the rich culture and traditions of the Tatar people.
