Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars, Vasil Shaykhraziev, is currently on a working visit to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). One of the key points of his program was the inspection of venues where the 25th Federal Sabantuy — the main celebration of Tatar culture at the federal level — will kick off in just a few days.

The anniversary Sabantuy in Yakutsk promises to be vibrant and eventful. The program includes a theatrical performance conveying the atmosphere of a traditional Tatar holiday, a concert titled “Constellation of Talents on the Land of Olonkho,” and competitions in Koresh wrestling, mas-wrestling, and other traditional sports.

Special attention is being paid to the cultural aspect of the event. Guests will be able to visit folk art and craft exhibitions as part of the “City of Masters” and “Tatar Homestead” projects, explore the work of artisans, enjoy traditional cuisine, and experience the everyday life of the Tatar people.
