Delegates have begun arriving in Kazan to take part in the “Millat Cziyini” (“National Assembly”). Among them is one of the oldest participants — 97-year-old World War II veteran Umid Sadykovich Gubaev from the city of Armavir, Krasnodar Krai. The honorary delegate was welcomed at the Kazan railway station by Farhad Latypov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and Chief of Staff.
It should be noted that on August 26–28 of this year, Kazan will host the “Millat Cziyini” (“National Assembly”) under the motto “Tatarstan – Our Spiritual Homeland” (“Tatarstan – Rukhi Vatanim”). The “National Assembly” is held between the congresses of the World Congress of the Tatars to address pressing current issues and to determine strategic directions for the development of the Tatar nation in today’s changing conditions.
