Uzbekistan took part in “Tatarcha diktant – 2025”

The Russian House in Tashkent hosted the global educational campaign “Tatarcha diktant,” an annual event that brings together thousands of participants around the world to test their literacy in the Tatar language.

The purpose of the campaign is to increase interest in the Tatar language, develop skills in correct speech and writing, and foster a respectful attitude toward the native word and its cultural heritage. Participants have the opportunity to test their knowledge of spelling and grammar, become familiar with the literary norms of the language, and strengthen their connection with national traditions.

More than one hundred people gathered at the Russian House — representatives of the older generation, young people, students, teachers, as well as those studying Tatar independently. For many, taking part in the dictation became an important event, allowing them to reconnect with their roots and support the preservation of the language.

Holding the “Tatarcha diktant” in Tashkent highlights the commitment to preserving and developing cultural diversity, strengthening ties between peoples, and passing the values of the native language on to future generations.
