Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, Vasil Shaykhraziev, during his working visit to the city of Petropavlovsk, visited landmark cultural and historical sites of the North Kazakhstan Region—the Magzhan Zhumabayev Center and the Residence of Ablai Khan.
The excursion program began with a visit to the Magzhan Zhumabayev Center, dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Kazakh poet, thinker, and public figure. The guests were welcomed by journalist, writer, and public activist Zh.K. Suleimenov, who spoke about the center’s activities, its educational and research projects aimed at preserving and promoting the literary heritage of Magzhan Zhumabayev. During the visit, special attention was paid to the poet’s role in shaping national identity and the development of culture. As a token of respect and cultural exchange, Vasil Shaykhraziev was presented with the book “Bizdin Magzhan” and a themed album of the North Kazakhstan Region.
The delegation then visited the Residence of Ablai Khan, a most important historical monument associated with the name of one of the most prominent statesmen of the Kazakh people. The tour was conducted by the director of the residence, A. N. Sadaev, who gave a detailed account of the significance of this site in the history of Kazakhstan, the role of Ablai Khan in strengthening statehood, and the development of international relations. The visit to the residence became a symbolic continuation of the program, highlighting shared historical roots and the close cultural ties between the peoples.
