On December 23, Mars Tukaev, first deputy head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and head of the committee for work with Tatar public organizations in the regions of the Russian Federation, visited Tyumen Oblast. During the visit, he met with representatives of the Tatar community.
Mars Rifkatovich took part in the annual summary meeting of the representative office of the World Congress of the Tatars in Tyumen Oblast and the region’s Tatar national and cultural organizations. On behalf of the World Congress of the Tatars, he congratulated compatriots on the upcoming New Year, spoke about key events of the outgoing year that were significant for the Tatar world, outlined the main activities planned for the coming year, and presented awards.
By decree of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, for a great contribution to strengthening peace and harmony among peoples and to the preservation and development of Tatar national culture, Bibinur Sabirova—a member of the “Barakat-Blago” charitable foundation in Tyumen, a prominent public figure and journalist who has devoted her entire life to serving her people—was awarded the medal “100 Years of the TASSR.”
The medal of the World Congress of the Tatars “For great services to the Tatar nation” was awarded to Alfiya Sagitova, chief accountant of Gurman LLC (Tyumen); Ilgiz Ikhsanov, head of the “Yash Garmun” harmonica ensemble from Andreyevsky settlement, Tyumen Oblast; and members of the regional Tatar youth public organization “Yash Buyn” of Tyumen Oblast—Gulfiya Khamidullina, Robert Sabirov, and Guzel Khalilova.
A letter of appreciation from the World Congress of the Tatars was presented to Munira Khusnutdinova, chair of the Tyumen charitable foundation “Barakat-Blago,” for her significant contribution to the development of the language and culture and to the preservation of the traditions of the Tatar people.
