The photo contest is aimed at promoting the popularization of the traditions and customs of the Tatar people, the preservation and development of the national identity of the Tatar people in the Republic of Tatarstan and beyond.

The purpose of the photo contest is to increase the role and contribution of photography in the development, preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of the Tatar people, in the formation for future generations of a documentary photo fund about the ethnic characteristics of the Tatars in their places of compact residence, their traditions and rituals, as well as their daily life.

The objectives of the photo contest are to foster moral and ethical feelings, artistic and aesthetic perception and attract interest in the historical and cultural heritage, traditions and customs of the Tatar people, to form a sense of patriotism and love for the native land, to identify the most talented works and authors contributing to the development of culture, preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Tatar people.
