A theatrical performance for children was held at secondary school No. 8 in Nizhnevartovsk. The main characters were Tatar Kysh Babai and his granddaughter – Kaz kyzy.

The New Year’s performance with the support of the national autonomy “Miras” is held in this education center for the 4th time, many children together with their parents visit it not for the first time.

Svetlana Knyazeva, Director of the Education Department of the Nizhnevartovsk city Administration, noted that this is a huge potential for parents, children, to study culture, history, traditions.

It all started with a Tatar language learning class. The secondary school No. 8 became the pilot site of this project.

There are 4 Tatar classes in 4 education centers in the city. Students put on performances, participate in holidays.

The New Year with the national Tatar flavor in the 8th school is already a tradition. Sweet gifts were presented to all participants of this theatrical performance.
