The IX International Conference “Development of Interethnic Dialogue and Mutual Understanding” was held in the North-East of Estonia last weekend.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries, deputies, heads of local governments and representatives of national societies of the region. Among them was the Ida-Virumaa Society of Tatar culture.
Within the framework of the conference it was possible to get acquainted with the book exhibitions presented by the Estonian National Societies. The Tatar society also organized a rich and informative exhibition. The Ida-Virumaa Society of Tatar culture donated to the Ministry of Culture of Estonia a seven-volume book “The History of the Tatars since Ancient Times” in English.
The gift was accepted by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Estonia Piret Hartman.
