In Baku, at the Heydar Aliyev Park, in a Surakhani settlement Tatar national holiday – Sabantui was celebrated.

The guests and participants of Sabantui have been welcomed by the Representative of the Executive authority of Surakhani district Barkhudar Barkhudarov, minister-counselor of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan Oleg Murashev, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ruslan Kabirov, MP of Milli Mejlis Mukhtar Babaiev, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Azerbaijan Alfred Zakirov.

Oleg Murashev noted the importance of development of cooperation and friendly relations, called together to celebrate all holidays.

First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ruslan Kabirov thanked the executive authority as well as the friendly people of Azerbaijan for the opportunity to celebrate the national

Tatar holiday Sabantui. He mentioned that the Tatars feel at home here, feel the support of the Azerbaijani state. R.Kabirov then read out a congratulatory message from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Milli Majlis deputy Mukhtar Babayev, said that he is not first time takes part in Sabantui, the holiday has become truly popular in Azerbaijan. He also stressed that the leadership of the republic creates all conditions for the people living in Azerbaijan.

Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Azerbaijan Alfred Zakirov congratulated those present on the Sabantui. He marked that this holiday – a welcome and joyous event, and this year, in Azerbaijan declared the “Year of multiculturalism”, a maidan Sabantui again brings together representatives of all nationalities and religions and serves the noble cause of peace and reconciliation. ”

The Executive Director of the “Tatar gailese” Milyausha Gaifullina on behalf of the Republic of Tatarstan and the World Congress of Tatars congratulated all on the holiday Sabantui, stressing the hospitality of the people of Azerbaijan.

Then the national anthems of Azerbaijan, Russia and Tatarstan sounded.

At Sabantui various competitions were held, Tatar singers and musicians performed.

We mark that the organizers of the event are the Center of Tatar Youth of Azerbaijan “Yashlek” with the assistance of the World Congress of Tatars, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in Azerbaijan.
