Today, on June 24,  an unusual cargo has been sent  from Kazan to a village Barda of Bardym region  Perm krai. This a bust of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai. It was made of bronze at the  “Experimental production plant” of Kazan city. It is expected that the bust will be installed in the village Barda on June 28. This is a solemn measure with participation of public figures and representatives of Tatarstan Union of writers. The monument  to Tukai will spaced on a central square of Barda, the bust to be set in front of Barda administration. Specially pleasant that in future this square to called  by the name of the great poet.

Tukai scholars are aware of the fact that Tukai ancestors lived in Bardym krai. This is a motherland of poets’s grandgather Zinatulla Amirov  (father’s mother).
