Congratulations by Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan on holiday Uraza-Bairam (Eid al-Fitr)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Merciful

Dear brothers and sisters!

On my own behalf and on behalf of the RT Religious Boad of Muslims accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of Uraza Bairam – Eid al-Fitr!

Eid al-Fitr – one of the most respected holidays in Islam, and it is a real symbol of tolerance, brotherhood and charity. Islam – a religion of peace and creation, and Eid al-Fitr – one more evidence and personification of this.

This year, Uraza fell on the hottest months of the year in June-July, and the nights were also short, but in spite of these difficulties, we with a great joy and were holding fast, hoping to win the grace of Almighty Allah.

Today is a real celebration of Muslim believers, each of us anxiously and with reverence to the Almighty have been waiting for this day. Now we are all filled with joy of peace, strengthening of faith. After all, even the Prophet Muhammad (peace to alayhi wa sallam) saying about the virtues of the month of Ramadan, said:

“The fasting have two joys: one – when one breaks the fast, and the other – as he appears before his Lord.”

Muslims throughout the world during blessed Ramadan in anticipation of a great holiday, kept a strict fast, were standing nightly prayers, in a every way tried to pacify their mortal passions, grow spiritually, helped the needy, making every day more good deeds, always asking the Lord of the worlds, and making pleas for forgiveness of their sins.

Dear Muslims! In place of the holidays come everyday life issues. Ramadan – gave everyone the opportunity to embark on the path of faith and spiritual development. Many of the believers in this month freed from bad habits, eradicated from their speech all the unpleasant and rude expressions, devoted more time to their families and spent the night in extra worshiping. Dear fellow believers, I urge you to maintain and enhance these achievements on ordinary days, and not to return to bad habits and idle way of life.

With the advent of Eid al Adha there are two mixed feelings in our hearts. The first is a sense of joy. Second, a sense of melancholy, because leaving this blessed month. Not for nothing the last Messenger of Allah’s mercy for the worlds – the Prophet Muhammad said:

“If people of my Ummah knew how much are great blessings of Ramadan they would wish Ramadan lasted a whole year.”

I ask Almighty Allah bestow His mercy and blessings that He, in the holidays, take all our efforts on its way to forgive us our sins.

May the Creator bring upon all the inhabitants of the land a peaceful sky over the head and health, and our multinational Motherland – prosperity! May the grace of the holiday comes to every home! Amin!
